CoralConnect is restoring corals which were severely damaged by destructive fishing techniques in Barú Colombia. They are training the local community to be coral gardeners and transplant coral fragments from their nurseries into permanent structures in protected areas. This provides the local community with more opportunities to work and learn about their natural heritage.
