Who and for what purposes?

Seat The FT, S.A., company number 516825127, with head office in Largo Monterroio Mascarenhas, 1, 1099-081 Lisbon (hereinafter referred to as STF) is the entity in charge of collecting and processing the personal data of the data subjects (hereinafter referred to as the User or Users) for the purposes indicated in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is applicable to the processing of personal data collected by STF or sent by the Users through the website https://seathefuture.eu/ (the “Website”) or its newsletter, and is intended to inform Users in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, the “GDPR”) as complemented by Law no. 58/2019, of 8 August.

Users must read this Policy carefully and freely decide whether they wish to provide their personal data to STF, prior to sending it. Each User guarantees that he/she is of legal age and that the data provided is true, accurate, complete and up to date, being responsible for any non-compliance that may occur.

Once the above retention periods have expired and except where STF is obliged by law or contract to keep the User’s personal data for a specific period, STF will proceed to its deletion or anonymization.

Who will have access to the personal data?

STF may instruct service providers within or outside of STF, domestically or abroad, e.g. shared service centres/IT service providers including cloud service providers such as data storage platforms or payment service platform providers such as EasyPay, to process personal data for the Purposes on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions only. STF will retain control over and will remain fully responsible for the User’s personal data and will use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law to ensure the integrity and security of the User’s personal data when engaging such service providers.

STF may also use aggregated personal data and statistics for the purpose of monitoring Website usage in order to help STF develop the Website and to improve STF’s services.

Otherwise, STF will only disclose the User’s personal data when the User direct us or give us permission, when STF is required by applicable law or regulations or judicial or official request to do so, or as required to investigate actual or suspected fraudulent or criminal activities. STF does not sell any personal data.

Transfers outside the EEA

STF may transfer the User’s personal data abroad if required for the Purposes as described above. This may include countries which do not provide the same level of protection as the laws of the User’s home country.

STF will ensure that any such international transfers are made subject to appropriate or suitable safeguards as required by the GDPR or other relevant laws. This includes entering into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses which are available here. The Users may contact STF anytime using the contact details below if you would like further information on such safeguards.

STF also requires its agents, consultants and sub-contractors and others who are outside the European Economic Area and to whom STF transfers the User’s personal data to ensure a similar level of data protection.

Cookies

Cookies are files or text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded and stored on the User’s device through the browser when visiting a website.

Cookies can be categorized according to their purpose. Some cookies are strictly necessary for a website to be operational, while others collect statistical information in order to analyze the use of the website and its performance or used to ensure the provision of additional functionalities to the website or to store the User’s preferences regarding browsing on the website, whenever the User uses the same device. User’s rights

Users have the right to request, through the email support@seathefuture.eu, as applicable, access to their personal data; its rectification; its erasure; limitation of processing; opposition to processing; and the right to data portability. Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority, which in Portugal is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (https://www.cnpd.pt/). 

When exercising any of the rights identified in the previous paragraph, the User must send a copy of a document proving his/her identity (avoiding, if possible, sending a copy of his/her citizen card), specifying the right or rights he/she wishes to exercise.

STF will not be responsible for any losses arising from any inaccurate, inauthentic, deficient, or incomplete Personal Data provided by the User.

Security measures

STF has implemented and will take appropriate technical and organizational (including administrative and physical) measures to keep the User’s personal data confidential and secure from unauthorized access, use and disclosure in accordance with STF’s internal policies and procedures covering the storage, transfer, disclosure of and access to personal data. Personal data may be kept on our personal data technology systems, those of STF’s contractors or suppliers, or in paper files.

STF also requires its business partners, suppliers, and third parties to implement appropriate safeguards, such as contract terms and access restrictions, to protect information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure.

Amendments

STF reserves the right, at any time, to make amendments or changes to this Policy, which shall be duly published on the Website.
